The big winter Faulhorn loop W4

This up-& downhill winter trail is quite demanding! From Grindelwald, it goes via the winter hiking path towards the mid-station Bort. From there, the winter hiking and sledding path leads to Schreckfeld station and then to First. Anyone feeling hungry on the way can enjoy treats at Berghaus Bort, Bergrestaurant Schreckfeld, Berggasthaus First, or Adi’s Ski Bar. More elevation is gained on the winter hiking route towards Faulhorn. From there starts the longest sledding run in Europe (15 kilometers), descending to Bussalp. After a refreshment at the mountain restaurant, the final section can be done on foot or optionally by bus back to Grindelwald.
