Description

The circular hiking route starts at the station, leaves the village center to the west, and follows a stream wood just before Bürglen. After crossing the main road, the path leads over Uerenbohl to Donzhausen. In this village, agriculture remains an important livelihood to this day.

Through meadows and fields, you reach Hessenreuti, a small village that once had judicial rights in the 18th century. The old, noble splendor is still evidenced by the 'Stammhaus' towering over the village.

The path skirts the upper village of Sulgen with its two churches to the east before reaching the 'wine village' Götighofen. Grapes, from which the tasty Götighofer wine is made, grow on the southern slopes of the Buchenberg and neighboring hills. Bending around the Thur and through the Auholz forest leads back to the starting point.
