Description

This route starts at Haggen station and leads along meadows and forests. You pass through various neighborhoods high above the city of St.Gallen. Countless viewpoints repeatedly offer new perspectives to admire the city and the Abbey District with the cathedral. The highlight of this route is the walk along the meadow landscape below the Freudenberg with the Art Nouveau bathhouses, directly above the old town of St.Gallen. The Drei Weieren attract visitors in summer for a refreshing swim and are a popular meeting place for ice skating enthusiasts in winter. After the third pond, the route continues along a forest edge even higher up to the Freudenberg. The last section leads across countryside and through a forest to the Schwarzer Bären stop.
