Steinen circular route - "To our viewpoint"

Description
Shortly after starting at Steinen station, the circular route follows the right bank of the Steiner Aa. With some luck, a dipper can be spotted on a stone. After crossing the Steiner Aa, it is worth taking a detour to the Au retirement and nursing center (APZ Au). You can refresh yourself at the APZ café and the public playground invites you to linger. Back on the Gotthardweg, on a hot summer day, you can walk down to the Choli swimming area and enjoy a short refreshment in Lake Lauerz. Then just walk back and head towards Schornen. There, visitors are treated to a unique view over Lake Lauerz and the surroundings. From Schornen, the path leads through flat, open farmland. At the edge of the village, some tall-stem orchards still testify to traditional farmland management. From the Grossherzogg chapel, there is a direct path back to the station for visitors in a hurry. Otherwise, simply follow the path towards the village and then to the station.
