Stage 05 Via Glaralpina - Zeinenfurgglen - giant snail in an alpine setting

After the overnight stay in the Glärnischhütte SAC (1989 m asl) follow the hut path downhill for a while, until the signpost at 1700 m asl pointing towards Zeinenfurgglen. Crossing several little streams, the trail leads to the alp cableway and Alp Zeinen – here begins the alpine hiking trail to Zeinenfurgglen (2436 m asl). The crossing offers a breathtaking view of the Glarus mountain world. On the other side of the Furgglen awaits the steep descent to the spacious Alp Bösbächi Mittelstafel (1383 m asl) and at the Alp-Beizli Bächistübli there are food and drinks available. A short detour to the legendary Oberblegisee is also worth it. But the Via Glaralpina continues further south over Seeblen (1869 m asl) and Gumen up to the stage destination, the listed Ortstockhaus (1772 m asl) in Braunwald.
