Stage 04 Via Glaralpina - Klöntal - Power and Magic

Now the Via Glaralpina gently leads upwards into higher alpine areas – and stops at the first of eight SAC huts. From the Klöntalersee the hiking trail runs beyond the dam over Plätz (852 m above sea level) to Richisau (1102 m above sea level). The venerable, about 300-year-old silver maples and the stopover at the Gasthaus Richisau make this detour worthwhile. A unique atmosphere. Through the mystical Timmerwald the mountain trail continues to Chäseren (1281 m above sea level) and further up in pleasant, steadily ascending switchbacks, in the lower part often lined with bright fire lilies, to the Glärnischhütte SAC (1989 m above sea level).
