Description
The orange signpost >SKULP>TOUR> in front of the town hall is hard to miss: it draws visitors' attention to the sculpture trail at the Ländte, which was created as part of the biennial sculptors' symposium.
The painter, sculptor, and graphic artist Peter Travaglini (1927 to 2015) made a name for himself far beyond the region. The artist from Büren became known for his typical oversized depictions of figures made of granite or concrete. He created numerous public works throughout Switzerland.
The beautiful small town can be discovered with specially offered "Stedtliführungen" (guided town tours) under expert guidance. You immerse yourself in the exciting world of a historic small town and hear stories about past times as well as modern events that took place in Büren.
