Usually, you can drive up to the mountain hotel Obersee, possibly up to the Stafel bridge behind the Obersee. Through the mountain forest, it goes via Brunnmettlenalp to the holiday house settlement Ahornen. Then steeply up to the Tierberg in long curves. Impressive views make up for the strenuous ascent. The descent follows the ascent route.
