Ski tour from Wergenstein to Piz Tarantschun (WS+)

This ski tour on Schamserberg is located in an ideal ski touring area with countless possibilities. The start is ideally at the Lavanos parking lot slightly before the village. However, you can also start in the village of Wergenstein. With nice overnight options, Wergenstein is an ideal starting point for ski tours and other winter activities. Initially, follow the winter hiking trail with skis uphill toward the Maiensässsiedlung Dumagns and Dumagns Dafora up to Alp Tumpriv. The Alp offers a good opportunity to take a break and enjoy the landscape. Then you can ascend southwest to point 2403 and proceed towards Carnusapass (point 2531). Finally, follow the ridge up to the summit of Piz Tarantschun. You will be rewarded with a magnificent view over Alp Tumpriv. The descent follows the ascent route.
