Schwellbrunn snowshoe route / circular route Dietenberg

The area of the municipality of Schwellbrunn can be explored on three routes recognized by the Swiss Snowshoe Association SVS with silent XXL soles. The route described here is AR2. They are all scenic and, as they mostly follow official hiking trails, also accessible in spring, summer, and autumn. The hiker moves at an altitude of 800 to 1100 meters above sea level, and fog is usually not an issue. Even in the village of Schwellbrunn, it is worth looking closely: the villagescape is of national importance and offers many charming houses with beautiful historical details. Traditional culture and lived customs are part of the identity of the population. The farming community is omnipresent with farms scattered over the hills and valleys.
