Scenic gourmet tour to the Napf: Wasen - Hinterarni - Napf
Description
The Napf, at 1,406 meters high, towers as a majestic peak in the heart of the Napf mountain region and offers hikers an unparalleled panorama over the Emmental, the Entlebuch, and on clear days, up to the Bernese Alps. This region, characterized by gentle hills and deep valleys, invites you to an impressive ridge hike.
The scenic ascent begins in the village of Wasen in the Emmental. The path leads over the Hambüel to Vorderarni and from there to the rustic inn Kuttelbad, where the first culinary stop can be made and overnight stays are possible. The hiking trail then follows the ridge to Hinter Arni and subsequently to Lushütte; at both locations, traditional alpine farms invite you to rest. The hike continues along the Emmental alpine panorama path with wonderful views. The highlight of the tour is the Napf summit itself, rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. At the Napf mountain hotel, you can both dine and stay overnight.
For the descent, you can choose either the shorter route via Schlegelgraben (45 min) or the slightly longer route via Stächelegg (1h 15min) to Mettlenalp, where a hiking bus runs to Langnau i.E. on weekends during the summer season.
