Description
Rossberg became tragically famous on September 2, 1806. From here, 40 million m3 of conglomerate slid down onto the village of Goldau, burying 450 people beneath it. With a short detour from Wildspitz, the impressive rupture area can still be visited today. After a well-deserved rest in the summit restaurant with a panoramic view to the south, a varied ride begins on scenic ridge paths and rocky trails down to the mountain inn Halsegg. The second part of the descent includes just as flowy meadow trails as technical forest trails. A route of interest both sportingly and historically with scenic mountain restaurants along the way.
