Description

Peace and solitude in the midst of the Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve – this is what winter sports enthusiasts enjoy on the Salwideli cross-country ski trails. They lead through the moorland and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains Rothorn, Schrattenfluh, Tannhorn, and Hohgant. 24 kilometers of top-prepared trails are available for classic and skating style.

The panorama trail, about 13 km long, has some ascents and descents and leads through a wonderful winter landscape, making it a delight for cross-country skiing enthusiasts and experts. From the third kilometer, it goes steeply uphill. The effort is worth it: The high plateau Türndlimoos (1500 m a.s.l.) offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains Brienzer Rothorn, Schrattenfluh, Tannhorn, and Hohgant and leads through the beautiful moorlands, which are among the most important and valuable in Switzerland. The high moor is ideal for enjoying the sun. Those who do not want to rest can add as many extra loops here as they like before returning towards Bergwelten Salwideli.

From the Sörenberg village ski area to Salwideli, you reach via the three-kilometer connecting trail from Rossweid. Parallel to this, a winter hiking trail also leads to Salwideli.
