Rugelreise – Thurgau marble run route from Weberei Matzingen

On the “Rugelreise,” the Thurgau marble run route, families can expect around 12 unique marble runs in the idyllic Murg valley. They travel by train from Frauenfeld to Weberei Matzingen – or vice versa. The hike along varied marble runs and the river Murg leads back to the starting point.

The total 6.3 km path can also be started or finished at the Lüdem stop in a shortened version.

The Rugelreise mostly follows the official Murg hiking trail and is not completely newly signposted. Follow the yellow hiking trail signs and watch out for the additional white Rugelreise signs.

Each marble run is a custom creation by local carpenters. A special highlight is the marble run in the shape of a miniature Stählibuck tower.
