Rugelreise – Thurgau marble run route from Frauenfeld Marktplatz

On the "Rugelreise," the Thurgau marble run route, families can expect about 12 unique marble runs in the idyllic Murg Valley. Traveling by train from Frauenfeld to Weberei Matzingen—or vice versa—the hike follows varied marble runs and the Murg river back to the starting point.

The total 6.3 km path can also be started or ended at the Lüdem stop for a shortened distance.

The Rugelreise mostly follows the official Murg hiking trail and is not completely newly signposted. Follow the yellow hiking trail signs and watch out for the additional white Rugelreise signs.

Each marble run is a custom-made piece by local carpentries. A special highlight is the marble run in the form of a miniature Stählibuckturm tower.
