Description
In good visibility, the view stretches over the Fürstenland, far across Lake Constance into the Allgäu, over the Vorarlberg Alps and up to the snow-covered peaks of Central Switzerland. The path then leads down to the Weissbach into one of the 'small valleys and dells'. From Kriegersmühle it goes gently uphill again to Steinleuten, from where the starting point can be reached in a few minutes.
The path is not too difficult and is especially suitable for families. With sections through the village, along roads and little lanes, past farms, herds, and livestock, across lush meadows and babbling streams, through cooling forests and shady 'Töblers', the path covers the full spectrum of Appenzell hiking trail diversity. Between Bühler train station and Hohe Buche, a total of 12 themed panels discuss various topics. However, all are connected by their relation to Bühler or the Appenzellerland.
