Description
The route starts at Romanshorn station and promises an exciting excursion through the beautiful Lake Constance region. The path leads a short distance through the town of Romanshorn but soon turns toward the creek path, where nature already unfolds its full splendor. This section winds through idyllic landscapes inviting you to linger and enjoy. After a short hiking time, a forest section follows, then the path passes huge apple orchards and fruit gardens all the way to the charming Leimenhof.
Originally built as a farmhouse, it has developed over the years into an important cultural center. Various events, courses, and activities are now held here. After the detour into the beautiful Lake Constance landscapes, you reach the charming Uttwil. The community lies idyllically directly on the water. From here the hike continues along the shore back to Romanshorn. The scenery along the way includes magnificent landscapes, majestic mountains, and lush shoreline vegetation with plenty of reeds. Together with the gentle splashing of the water, there is a very peaceful atmosphere here. This can be enjoyed during a break: benches and picnic spots invite you to rest repeatedly.
The path also offers a lot culturally: historic buildings and charming small harbors provide insights into local history and culture, making the hike an enriching experience all around.
