Road Bike Route of Emmental

The route, starting and ending in Burgdorf, begins steeply with a ride over the beautiful viewpoint Lueg. Passing the Emmental demonstration cheese dairy in Affoltern, where perhaps a short drink break at the fountain is taken, it continues over the hills. The next beautiful viewpoint is located on the Schonegg near Sumiswald, where on clear days the entire Bernese Alps can also be admired. The next seven kilometers are demanding, but the ride up to Lüderenalp is rewarded with breathtaking views. The descent through the tight curves down to Trubschachen goes by quickly. After a small refreshment from the Kambly Experience, the route returns to the hilly landscape, over Rämisgummen to Eggiwil. In Röthenbach, the route passes the famous Würzbrunnen chapel, over the Ryfersegg to Signau. After a short detour to the illustrious village of Langnau, the ascent to the Moosegg viewpoint balcony begins again. Over Arni and Obergoldbach it goes downhill slowly back towards Burgdorf.
