Rigi Tell Path
Informationen zur Route
Best Time of Year
Description
As an ideal warm-up phase, walk on a flat route to the fantastic viewpoint Känzeli. Here you will also find a memorial plaque with Goethe’s diary entry on the occasion of his Rigi visit.
Although Queen Victoria of England rode the following section on horseback, the second part can be walked comfortably. A steep but harmless uphill path leads you through shady forest areas, over Alp Räb and Chrüzboden, to the cozy alpine inn Ruodisegg. From there, the path becomes flatter again up to Seebodenalp and then gently descends to Küssnacht, where Wilhelm Tell once ended Gessler in the Hohlen Gasse.
