Description
The Felsenweg is a section of the popular and beautiful high route along the former Rigi-Kaltbad-Scheidegg railway. Walk effortlessly over the mighty Unterstetten railway bridge and experience a piece of railway history. You will pass an old passenger carriage that now serves as a holiday home, a short tunnel, and a water station for the steam locomotives. The magnificent panorama of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains is your constant companion.
Lush green hills, wild meadows, and interesting rock formations line the path. Like a painting appears the splendid panorama with the shimmering lakes and the majestic Alps in the background. On the way, you will find cozy rest areas and fire pits for relaxing. If you prefer a leisurely stop, the alpine restaurants also offer a good option. The route remains varied until the destination Rigi Scheidegg and can also be walked in reverse.
