RadTourenFinder Lörrach Tour 6: Zwei-Ufer-Tour

This tour offers an exciting mix of nature and industrial heritage. If you first cycle along the small, idyllic River Wiese, you soon come to the Dreiländerbrücke bridge with a view of the industry in Basel. The water park in Hüningen offers another waterside experience, and the Petit Camarque, which you soon reach, is pure nature. The next stage of the tour, however, clearly shows the intervention of man with the Kembs run-of-river power station and the many information boards about the electricity industry. The journey along the Rhine side canal, which flows straight down the right-hand side of the path, also offers a great contrast to the so-called Rhine island on the left-hand side. The next weir is reached at Märkt, where the Rhine is crossed again. From there, the trail leads through the small Markgräfler villages of Märkt, Eimeldingen and Binzen with views of the vineyards in the background. After a short climb over the "Luke", you can enjoy the beautiful view of Lörrach before finishing the circular tour at the tourist information centre.
