R12 Tour de France 2016 partial stage Gstaad-Emosson

The second partial stage of the Tour de France route Bern-Emosson 2016 begins in Gstaad. The first 15 km lead downhill to Château d'Oex before it goes 14 km uphill over the Col des Mosses. Then follows a long descent to Aigle and a rather flat section along the Rhone to Martigny. Here the road rises first slowly, then steadily with an average gradient of 8.4%, with the last section being steepest at 12.3%. After this tough ride, you are rewarded with a spectacular view of the reservoir.
