Potersalp Route

The route from Urnäsch passes Osteregg and Blattendürren up to Lauftegg. From up there, you enjoy a wonderful view of the Appenzell region. It then continues via Jakobsbad to Appenzell. Enjoy the charming village with all its culture and traditions. After visiting Appenzell, you continue along the Sitter river until you leave civilization behind in Weissbad and find yourself on an idyllic path parallel to the Alpstein mountains. Soon you reach the mountain guesthouse Lehmen, which is perfect for a short break. The route then climbs steadily past a wonderful backdrop until you reach Schwägalp. Schwägalp has a lot to offer. So why not make a short stop at the nature experience park, the Alpschau cheese dairy, or the Säntis summit? Whatever you decide, you will have definitely earned the subsequent descent via Steinflue back to Urnäsch.
