Description

Numerous nature-powerful and energetic places await you in Val Lumnezia. On this special hike, you move from one energy spot to the next. Perhaps you will feel the different energetic qualities or find answers to certain questions.

The village walk leads you to significant buildings such as the church Sogn Martin (34) and the chapel Nossadunna digl agid. In addition, you will discover exciting historical buildings (33). In the northwest part of the village stands the Gothic residential tower "Casaulta", while in the lower village the carefully renovated "Chisti da Lumerins" can be found. In Casa d'Angel, in the village center, one of the famous crystal groups from Péz Regina (35) is exhibited.

At the upper edge of the village, a hiking trail leads through blooming meadows and pastures to the impressive wooden bridge Val da Mulin (36). From there it continues through a fairy-tale forest towards Nussaus. On the way, there is a magnificent view of the mysterious Péz Regina (37). The route continues to S. Andriu and via a field path down to Farglix. From here, it goes leisurely downhill to Sietschen (38), where, during the construction of the road, an ancient grave stele was discovered - it can be seen today in the Chur Art Museum. The slightly ascending circular route finally brings you back to the starting point in Lumbrein.

33. The late medieval residential towers made of tuff stone immediately catch the eye. The "Chisti da Lumerins" was probably the seat of the lords of Lumbrein, who have been mentioned in documents since 1231. The second tower, "Casaulta", probably dates from the 14th or 15th century.

34. The renovated church Sogn Martin shines in bright white and gold. Here you find peace, strength, and spiritual depth. Particularly striking is the unevenly distributed energy in the choir - a peculiarity that can be explained by the church’s building history.

35. In 2003, two local crystal hunters discovered two large crystal groups in a cleft of Péz Regina. One of these groups is now exhibited in Lumbrein thanks to the commitment of many people involved. Although the crystal is said to lack “rooting” according to energetic interpretation, it radiates strong energy at its exhibition spot. Do you feel the flowing power of this special stone?

36. This impressive wooden bridge was built in 2008 from local spruce. Its considerable height and length are as impressive as the cool gorge below, through which pure water flows – a place full of freshness and calm.

37. Above S. Andriu you enjoy the best view of the mystical and powerful Péz Regina. Depending on light and shadow, the shape of the mountain appears like a dignified queen. Numerous old legends revolve around this mountain. It is believed that processions and ritual seasonal festivals took place here in the past to promote fertility of humans, animals, and plants.

38.**Sietschen** is an ancient settlement site, inhabited at least since the Ice Age. During road construction to Surin, a mysterious grave stele with an engraved figure was discovered here. This remarkable artifact can be seen today in the Chur Art Museum.

The Research Center for Power Places Switzerland, in cooperation with Lumnezia Tourism, has tested 66 special places in the region and documented them in 12 hiking routes. Information about the routes can be found in the book "Places of Magic", which is available at the information office Vella.
