Over the Stammerjoch

The route leads initially briefly in the valley of the Schergenbach from Samnaun Dorf, then along the Chaminser Bach uphill in the Val Chamins. Then over the Stammerjoch, which is crossed at 2657 m altitude. The descent goes over the Stamm pasture area with its magnificent mountain lakes into the Val Maisas and downhill along the Maisasbach back to Samnaun Dorf. The little-frequented area with great views of the surrounding high mountains and the splendid flora along the path make the tour a great experience for hikers who are not afraid of heights, sure-footed, and in good condition.
