Old paths in wooded slopes

Description
Equipped with good footwear, the path begins at the cross at the edge of the forest and leads through the church forest. Climb lightly like a cat up the Chatzenstrick! Less brave hold on to the fixed ropes. To get from the Zinglen to Hinter Oberberg, ropes and ladders are again mounted at exposed locations. This section of the path was formerly the shortest connection from Hinter Oberberg to the Muotathal and young lads used this path to go to the "village." Upon reaching the Tritt signpost, it is worth waiting with the picnic and going down the short path to the Trittchänzeli. A comfortable bench and an unexpected view of the Muotathal mountains invite you to linger there. From here the marked path leads to the idyllic mountain village Illgau. Chamois often graze in the Bergli. Above the village center a signpost points to the road towards Muotathal. The "old church path," which was restored a few years ago by retired hiking friends, leads steeply downhill through a wild romantic forest past a waterfall. At Vita Parcours in Tristel you will find a generously laid out fire pit on the shore of the Muota. Via the Vita Parcours, the starting point Wil can be reached in a short time.
