Obertrüebsee Snowshoe Tour Trail

High above Engelberg, after the gondola ride from the Titlis valley station to Trübsee, the magnificent view towards Titlis and the fresh powder snow await the snowshoers.

Right at the Berghotel Trübsee lies the start of the trail, leading downhill past the sledding park to Trübsee. Covered by snow and ice, it is not visible why Trübsee got its name. But it can be revealed that the mountain lake, also filled with emerald-green glacier water in summer, puzzles visitors about its naming. Once the hut is reached, the route leads upwards to the right via Chrützhubel (2.5 km) over a moraine ridge to a beautiful viewpoint. When you have had enough of the view, continue to the mountain station of the small rustic mountain railway "Älplerseil." The spectacular deep view makes you forget all efforts. Back at the starting point, the Trübsee mountain station, the Titlis Xpress brings you back down to the valley.
