Description
With the marked house paths, the Bernese Heritage Protection wants to make these treasures of local building culture accessible to a wider public and thus promote understanding for their preservation. The house paths are best explored on foot, partly on little-trafficked asphalt paths, partly on natural trails. The numbered houses lie on official hiking trails and are marked with small brown signs. These provide the most important information about the respective house. Understandably, the house paths only touch on a few gems in the landscape. Besides the mentioned houses, there are many pretty houses along the way, as well as proud barns, wooden bridges, storage buildings, gardens, flowers, trees, and forests with lush meadows. Depending on stamina, desire, and season, the house paths can be hiked entirely or partially. Good footwear is required in some sections. Starting points are always the train stations and public transport stops.
