Description

The start of the route is either at Iffigenalp, which in winter can only be reached by taxi, or at Hubelmatte. Starting from Hubelmatte, you quickly leave the Iffigenalp road and ascend over fields to Fallweid. Here, a short section of the Iffigenalp road is followed through the forest to Ritzdole. The route continues through fields and forest towards Langermatte. The last 150 meters of altitude to Langermatte are ascended in open terrain. From Langermatte to Oberlaubhore is another 150 meters of ascent, with the last steep meters usually covered on foot. The summit offers a wonderful view over the "Lengi Egge" (Lenk) and the Obersimmental. Incidentally, the long ridge gave Lenk its name (lengi Egge, Lengg, Lenk). To the south, the panorama is not as open as to the north; however, Laufbodehore with its steep flanks as well as the Wildstrubel are within easy reach.

The descent usually starts a few meters below the summit. Except for Langermatte, there are a few turns to warm up before the beautiful powder slopes to Chäli await. These eastern slopes are often very shaded, which often promises good snow conditions. The second part of the descent partly follows the snow-covered road and partly passes through pastures to the Restaurant Simmenfälle.
