Oberengadin_La Rösa

This official tour is a great all-mountain ride and a superb alternative to the classic "Bernina Freeride".

Start at the Ospizio Bernina, you can get there by train shuttle or pedalling up from Pontresina. Follow the road to its highest point on 2327 m and find the trail markings. Rocky and a little technical at first it becomes easier soon and leads down to the road. A good start into this tour.

Cross the road follow the uphill trail north. The scenery is really nice here, the uphill is only short and it connects to a super-flowy trail on the other side of the road to Livigno.

A few rocks here and there keep you focused but there are no real difficulties on the way to La Rösa. Most riders will love this trail! The next trail turns off to the right after 200m on the small road. It´s short, steep(ish) and fun. Be careful, there is some exposure in the last bit! Follow the road downhill but don´t miss the turn-off at 1700m!

The flat trail leads to "Buril" where we enter the forest. The best part starts here! Some roots, some rocks, a lot of fun... A fantastic series of trails brings us to the Bernina pass road. The continuation on the other side of the road remains fast and open, but changes character. A seemingly endless rock garden will test your suspension and forearms. After your arrival in "Angeli Custodi" roll down the small roads and bike paths to Poschiavo. Stay for lunch or take the train back to Bernina pass again.

From the "Ospizio Bernina" station follow the official route via Morteratsch to Pontresina or to St. Moritz.
