National Park: Piz Quattervals

The route leads from the romantically situated Chamanna Cluozza (overnight stay) through the Valletta to Piz Quattervals. The ascent is considered alpinistically challenging. Ibex can often be observed on the rocks and a ground at almost 2500 m above sea level offers in July a diverse alpine flora with Mont Cenis bellflower, creeping carnation root and stemless catchfly. From an altitude of 2500 m above sea level, the trail markings disappear. It is stipulated that Piz Quattervals may only be ascended from Val Cluozza via the side valley Valletta. Other routes are not permitted. Caution, especially in high and late summer, Piz Quattervals is considered prone to falling rocks.
