Mürren - Gimmeln - Schiltgrat

This moderate winter hiking path starts at the Schilthornbahn station in the idyllic mountain village of Mürren. It follows a gentle ascent through the snowy forest to Gimmeln. The path winds past traditional wooden chalets toward Schiltgrat. At the last break before the finish, there is an opportunity to calmly enjoy the mountain panorama with Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau before diving into the short but sweaty final section and finally reaching Schiltgrat.

The path crosses the Apollo sled run. For the reverse route, the Schiltgrat lift can be used for the ascent, which takes hikers from Mürren (Schilthornbahn) to Schiltgrat. The descent from Schiltgrat back to Mürren is then done on foot. The Schiltgrat lift operates uphill only.
