Mountain restaurant round

The route starts directly with a long and tough ascent (7 km and 580 m elevation gain). For this, everything is on a wide forest road except for the last few meters. In the last meters, the bike must be carried. The route leads through the legendary Katzenstieg, a short rock passage secured with chains. A short single trail leads to the mountain restaurant Vogelberg. This is followed by a meadow section and then the first descent. After a second carrying section, it goes quickly towards the next two mountain restaurants, Hintere Wasserfallen and Heidi-Stübli. Here follows the second, considerably shorter ascent towards the mountain restaurant Waldweid and the SAC hut. At the highlight of the route, one is also rewarded with a wonderful Alpine panorama. Now follows the fast but easy descent back to the starting point.

Note: The first part of the route is not suitable for e-bikes due to two carrying sections. It's best to drive directly to Wasserfallen.
