Description
From Weinfelden, this route follows the Thur towards Bischofszell. Depending on the available time, a detour on the ruins trail in Kradolf-Schönenberg allows you to discover the remains of medieval castles. Crossing the old Thur bridge, you finally reach the beautiful small town of Bischofszell, which offers, among other things, a piece of industrial history with the Typorama and the historic paper machine.
The route then leads through the Hudelmoos nature reserve to the historic water castle Hagenwil, where the first-class restaurant invites you to rest and refresh yourself. This section shows the classic Thurgau landscape: extensive orchards, peaceful rural settlements, all set against an impressive lake panorama. Finally, the route continues towards the destination Romanshorn, passing the Locorama railway experience world before reaching the station where rental bikes are returned.
