Mostindien Route (Carthusian Ittingen – Weinfelden)

The route leads from Carthusian Ittingen to Frauenfeld. You should definitely allow some time for the main town of the apple canton, as it has a lot to offer. For example, three interesting and free museums are located close together: the Historical Museum, the Archaeology Museum, and the Natural History Museum. For children, the Plättli Zoo is also worth a visit. The zoo exhibits around 50 animal species from all over the world. Those seeking some relaxation can enjoy the indoor, outdoor, and whirlpool baths.

Finally, the route continues via Pfyn, Müllheim, Wigoltingen, and Märstetten to the charming wine town of Weinfelden. Those who take the short climb up the Ottenberg from there will be rewarded with a magnificent view over the vineyards to the Alpine ridge and a cool drink at the Stelzenhof inn. Otherwise, the Eisenbahn guesthouse directly at the Weinfelden train station is recommended for a stopover.
