Monstein Vineyard Trail

The south-southeast facing vineyards in the Rhine Valley, located at Monstein near Au, have always invited hiking. The Au Winegrowers' Association has recently created a vineyard trail here, with information boards about viticulture and historical insights.

Anyone taking time for the six informative panels along the newly created vineyard trail as well as the view into the magnificent Rhine Valley landscape, exploring the history and present day of viticulture, will need about two hours for a wonderful and impressive discovery.

The well-signposted hike through the Au vineyards starts either at the town hall or at the viewpoint up on the Hard. Here, on welcome boards, you will find detailed route descriptions and first interesting information. On a separate panel, the Au wine producers introduce themselves.
