Mariastein - Pilgrimage site in the Solothurn Jura

Beautiful hike from the medieval town of Laufen, main town of the Laufental valley, over the Blauen to Mariastein, the 2nd most important pilgrimage site in Switzerland. From there, you follow a short section of the national border with old boundary stones. The village of Rodersdorf is almost entirely surrounded by France, and the BLT tram line 10 runs through Alsace to Basel.
