Loco-Vosa-Intragna

The bus reaches Loco, where the «Via delle Vose» begins. The ancient mule track was used in the past by the valley inhabitants for transporting goods to the port of Ascona and the market of Locarno. Before starting the hike it is possible to stop and visit the Onsernonese Museum of Loco. The trail leads to the hamlet of Niva, where the terraced vineyards producing organic wine can be seen. Then follow the course of the Isorno river up to the next hamlet, Vosa. This is the last climb before the descent to Pila, a characteristic village with a splendid view of the Centovalli and Lake Maggiore. In Intragna, you can admire the tallest bell tower in Ticino (65 m) and visit the Centovalli and Pedemonte Regional Museum. From here it is also possible to take the Ferrovia Vigezzina-Centovalli train (Locarno-Domodossola) or the Valle Onsernone bus.
