Liestal route

Leisurely along the Ergolz, the first kilometers help to warm up. Near the remarkable Roman city Augusta Raurica is the turning point, from there it goes steadily uphill towards Elbisberg and further to the lookout tower. After a visit to the tower - on a clear day you can even see the Alps in the distance - it goes quickly downhill to Liestal. The small town offers the opportunity to refresh yourself in one of the boulevard cafés before the route sets off along the so-called Curry Trail - a beautiful single trail with shared use - and returns in a loop over the Rösern valley back to Frenkendorf.
