Laubbärgli - Albristhorn - Fermeltal

The hike from Laubbärgli over the Albristhorn into the Fermeltal to Matten (St. Stephan) station includes a section of Alpine Route between Tierberg and Furggeli. But first, the trail gently leads through the forest to Alp Seewle, where good alpine cheese can be bought. Then the path continues ascending through alpine pastures to the ridge, and we leave the tree line behind. On the ridge, it gets rocky and this section runs over the partly narrow and exposed ridge. The highlight, at 2,762 m above sea level, is the scenic Albristhorn with the summit cross. From Furggeli, the route goes down through the elongated, wild romantic, and remote Fermeltal to the village of Matten to the station.
