Large panorama route No. 34

After starting in Grindelwald, the trail steadily ascends at the foot of the Wetterhorn until reaching the Grosse Scheidegg. From there, the Murmeliweg gently goes up and down to First. Those aiming for a shorter route have the option to take the gondola back down. The trail then follows a popular hiking path to the well-known Bachalpsee. The tourist crowd decreases once heading up to Faulhorn. At the summit, the historic mountain restaurant with a sun terrace invites you to stay. A break is recommended because a steep descent follows to Bussalp. Buses regularly run back to Grindelwald from here, or you can return via Schrind to the village.
