La Punt – Albula Trail – La Punt
Informationen zur Route
Best Time of Year
Description
The route starts in La Punt-Chamues-ch. From here the ascent begins via the heavily used pass road up to the Albula Pass height. The pass road is popular not only with car and motorcycle drivers but also with road cyclists. Those who want to save the elevation can take the Bus Alpin up. It runs several times a day. Timetables and information are available here.
After about 625 meters of elevation gain, you reach the pass height where the Albula Pass also starts. The trail is just under 9 km long and offers quite a bit of flow. At the start, it first goes up a few meters before getting going properly. The beginning is nice, but the trail weakens a bit towards the end. Personally, the Albula Trail did not fully convince me. You have to have done it once, but that was about it.
The Albula Trail is well suited for beginners and also doable with an e-bike.
