Description

We start at Effretikon train station and head generally north along Route No. 45 until just before Dättnau, where we reach the Töss Valley. There we turn right onto Route No. 5, which we soon leave because we stay on the left side of the Töss. Next follows the steepest climb of the day up to the clearly visible Kyburg, where we take a break.

We continue via country roads to Brünggen and from there down to Wissenbach, where we rejoin Route No. 86. A pleasant climb past the tranquil villages of Weisslingen, Theilingen, and Rumlikon leads into an enjoyable ride to the beautiful Lake Pfäffikon with its nature reserve.

We switch on Route No. 41 over to the next lake, the larger Lake Greifen. We ride always along the shore (Route No. 29) until we reach Dübendorf. Through neighborhood streets past the outdoor pool, we reach Dübendorf train station and there again Route No. 45. This first takes us along the military airfield and then through the Wangenerwald forest back to our starting point Effretikon.
