Hut quartet hike

The "hut quartet" is a possible circular hike that takes you past 4 huts within 4 days. These include the SAC huts in Glarus South: Fridolin Hut, Grünhorn Hut, Planura Hut and Clariden Hut. In addition to the huts, there is also much to discover in the surrounding area.

1st day:

Tierfehd (alp taxi to Hintersand) - Fridolin Hut SAC, 2 hrs, T3

Experience: cooling off in the small mountain lake.

Visit the Grünhorn Hut (oldest SAC hut)

2nd day:

Fridolin Hut - Ochsenstock - Obersand - Planura Hut SAC, 5 hrs, T4

To discover: dinosaur tracks on the hut trail

Planura Hut is the highest hut in the Swiss Eastern Alps. Next to it is Europe's largest wind hollow.

3rd day:

Planura Hut - Obersand - Beggilücke - Clariden Hut SAC, 5 hrs, T4

To observe: sunrise high above Glarus South

4th day:

Clariden Hut - Fisetengrat - Urnerboden (cable car), 3 hrs, T3
