Hoher Hirschberg Route

The Hoher Hirschberg route starts in Gais, from where you directly immerse yourself in the unique landscape of the Appenzellerland. After the first ascent, you reach the Hoher Hirschberg. Enjoy the magnificent scenery at the highest point of the route or take the opportunity to refresh yourself at the mountain inn. Via Eggerstanden, you then pass fields and waters before soon reaching Appenzell. Take a short moment to enjoy the charming village with all its culture, traditions, and culinary delights. You leave Appenzell again and pass the Lehn Chapel and the collection point on the next longer ascent. A short descent back to Gais rounds off the Hoher Hirschberg circular route.
