Hohberg - Salzmatt

It leads us out of gorges and valleys over scenic mountain slopes to a small mountain pass. After the start, we reach a romantic single trail along the Sense to Zollhaus. From there it goes over Sangernboden, the Muscherenschlund, the cattle pastures Spittelgantrisch, Gantrischli, Schönenboden, Steiners Hohberg, and Geissalp up to the ridge of Salzmatt. On a mountain path we arrive in the wide basin of the Riggisalp. On the hiking trail Hürlisboden - Mittler Staldener we ride back to the starting point. A spicy alpine cheese is produced at Alp Gantrischli. Practically all alpine huts we pass are catered.
