Description

The Hochstuckli summit enjoyment hike starts at Sattel-Hochstuckli (Mostelberg), at the mountain station of the Stuckli Rondo revolving gondola. Once at the top, a short detour to the 374-meter-long suspension bridge "Skywalk" is worthwhile. After exploring the suspension bridge, we start the hike at the mountain station of the revolving gondola. The path leads gently over the Herrenboden mountain inn to Bannegg. From there, it is worth climbing up to Hochstuckli at 1566 m. Here you are rewarded with a panoramic view. The Schwyz basin with Lake Lauerz and Lake Lucerne, as well as the two Mythen, Fronalpstock and the Rigi, are close enough to touch.

After the detour to Hochstuckli, the path takes you about 10 minutes back toward Bannegg to the junction to the hiking trail towards Haggenegg. From now on, you repeatedly have an impressive view of the Haggenspitz and the Kleine Mythen. At Haggenegg, the Haggenegg chapel awaits you, a gem of a special kind and also a beautiful photo motif. After Haggenegg begins the section along the two Mythen, where chamois are most frequently seen. Through the most beautiful natural and floral splendour, the path goes via Alp Zwüschet Mythen to Holzegg. With some luck, you can observe a marmot family here. From Holzegg, a last ascent awaits you to Rotenflue before the Rotenfluebahn takes you back down to the valley. From the valley station in Rickenbach SZ, you can reach your starting point by bus.

The route is about eleven kilometers long and also well suited for children. Due to the many attractions along the way, the panoramic hike can also be easily extended to a day trip.
