Historical-cultural route

This panoramic themed route starts from the town hall square, crosses the village center, climbs along the ancient mule track "Capèla rota" up to Tendrasca, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view, and ends just above Viona in Val Resa. The mule track already represents a historical route; indeed, even before the 15th century, it connected Locarno to Brione s/Minusio and Mergoscia. Along the 2.5 km route, you encounter elements of historical and cultural value. Each is marked by a showcase containing old photos, an explanatory text in four languages, and a map of the route. This makes the route an open-air museum, in which expressive objects testify to a nearly forgotten past.
