Description
A fascinating natural experience – but not for the faint-hearted: This is the Pinut via ferrata. First mentioned in writing in 1793, it is the oldest still existing via ferrata in all of Switzerland. It was fully renovated in 2007 and has since offered guests and locals a climbing experience of superlatives. So: pack a via ferrata set, harness, helmet, backpack, weatherproof jacket, sturdy mountain boots, as well as snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and a travel first aid kit, and off you go!
Difficulty
K 1-2. Slightly more difficult, a comfortably secured path with steps and 27 ladders, though very airy in the lowest part.
Approach
A blue signpost in Fidaz points the way to the via ferrata. A path through the forest leads up to the foot of the rock (approx. 30 minutes).
Exit
Descent via an old alpine path. In Bargis, you join the road coming up from Fidaz. The marked hiking trail leads back to Fidaz away from the road (approx. 2 hours).
