Hiking Trophy Glarnerland, Route 3: Naturfreundehaus Mettmen

The goal: panorama, platter, and an Adler Pfiff

The starting point is in Schwanden, either at the train station or the Park & Ride parking lot Däniberg. From here, take the bus to Kies. With the Kies-Mettmen aerial cableway, you are in the heart of the oldest wildlife reserve in Europe in about five minutes. The impressive nature offers numerous hiking highlights. And as a crowning conclusion, the Naturfreundehaus Mettmen awaits: a delicious platter and a breathtaking view of the Glarnerland and opposite the Glärnisch massif with the legendary Vrenelisgärtli. Perfectly matching, refresh yourself with Elmer Citro or a fine Adler beer – what more could you want?

How the challenge works: 

You need to complete four hut routes. At each hut, you will find a tap to stamp your collection pass. Show it at the hut and receive an Adler beer, Elmer Citro, or mineral water.
